AboutStuffs

“Stuffs” hearkens back to my time in Whistler.  My Swedish housemates had the endearing habit of adding an “s” to nouns which share a plural and singular form.  “Deer” became “Deers,” “Cereal” became “Cereals,” and my personal favorite, “Stuff” became “Stuffs;” as in, “We went to a movie and did some other stuffs after.”  When brainstorming ideas for the blog title, I came across a folder on my hard drive labeled “Whistler Photos and Stuffs.”  I couldn’t resist.

PassTheStuffs is the third in a succession of blogs, each coinciding with a distinct phase in my life. The first blog, ChileOrBust, chronicled a semester abroad in Valparaiso, Chile. I published TheRattlinBlog after graduating college, and it spanned a three year period of vagabonding about North America, centering around two fantastic winters in Whistler, British Columbia.

Both blogs decayed slowly. I blame the short half-life of those projects on their original intent, which was twofold: 1) to keep friends and family up-to-date on the latest method of frittering away my youth and 2) to make damn sure everyone knew how awesome my life was.

PassTheStuffs is a fresh start.  I intend the writing to be more coherent, more prolific, and less narcissistic.  Less narrative, more substance.  Inevitably, posts will reflect the tangled contents of my mind and the activities that fill my day–but I never did claim to be a journalist.

Unless credited otherwise, all photos, videos, and written content on this blog are my own.

When you need something to pass the time, PassTheStuffs!
